Thomas Jefferson: Scavenging Around
Directions: Explore the "Jefferson" section of the Monticello Web site to find the answers to the following questions. At the end of each section there is a link to "choose your own time." This link will show you all the topics covered in the "Day in the Life" section of "Jefferson" and will help you scavenge around!
Teacher's Note: In almost every case, there are many possible answers. If there is a dispute, ask students to find the page where they found the information.
1) Find three technological innovations or "gadgets" that Jefferson used or employed at Monticello:
