A reproduction of this map drawn by Jefferson's father, Peter, and Joshua Fry hangs in the Monticello Entrance Hall. Joshua Fry, a good friend of Peter Jefferson, was George Washington's predecessor as commander of the colonial militia during the French and Indian War.
