Rosewell

Rosewell was a plantation house in Gloucester County, Virginia built by Mann Page and his son, Mann Page II, between 1725 and 1733. The house was three stories high, considered one of the grandest and largest homes in colonial America. Thomas Jefferson visited his good friend, John Page (the son of Mann Page II), at Rosewell a number of times during his years studying at the College of William and Mary.
