The Thomas Jefferson Foundation
cares for an unparalleled, highly important archaeological
collection of some 250,000 objects and fragments related to
Monticello plantation and its entire community of free and

The Foundation's Restoration Department has
an extensive architectural fragments collection consisting
of nails, masonry, wood, hardware, paint and coatings, and
miscellaneous materials related to the construction of Monticello
