Please discuss the following two topics in no more than 500 words each. (Submit your responses with the other materials requested below.)
- Why are you interested in an internship at a historic home, and why Monticello?
- Discuss a visit to a museum or historical setting that influenced you profoundly.
To complete your application to our internship program, please supply two references (academic or professional), an unofficial copy of your transcript, and your responses to the topics listed above. You may also provide a one-page resume highlighting relevant work or volunteer experiences (optional). All documents may be email, faxed or mailed to the address below. Documents may be sent separately, but all must be received by February 14, 2014. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. If you require notification by a specific date please indicate this in the body of your email when submitting your internship application materials. Every effort will be made to provide early notification when possible, but we require a minimum of 2 weeks to review your materials. All candidates will be contacted by March 3.
