About Me

I believe my interest in the Revolutionary period began when I attended, with my grade school classmates, a special screening of the film "1776". Perhaps a twelve-year-old isn't supposed to be as fascinated with that period of history as I was, and I cannot claim I dove into the time with any vigor (I was, just a kid, after all), but it did make an impact upon the formation of my young mind. These unique individuals came together at such a juncture of history, and they changed the world into what we know today. I was privileged to visit Monticello for the first time during the December winter month of 2012, and seeing it only reinforced my belief that the era in which Thomas Jefferson lived was one of extraordinary possibility.
