White Foxglove

Digitalis purpurea ‘'Alba'’

Foxglove was grown by John Custis of Williamsburg in the 1740s, and the plant seems to have been well established in American gardens by 1800. Bernard McMahon listed both the pink and white forms in his 1804 broadsheet.
