Site 16

Located just 150 feet to the east of the Site 15 nailery, Site 16 represents a domestic slave quarter. Pearlware, American Stoneware, green bottle glass, wrought nails and brick fragments point toward this site being occupied by the last quarter of the eighteenth century. The close proximity of this slave quarter to the nailery suggests that this is where the workers were housed.
