Monticello’s Winter Woodlands

Join Jerry Therrien and Peggy Cornett on a two- hour hike through Monticello’s rich forests, and help identify trees and shrubs by observing their habitat, structure, form, texture, and buds. Also discover how to recognize herbaceous plants and winter weeds by their stems, seeds, pods, and environment. Please wear sturdy shoes and be prepared for muddy slopes and uneven terrain.
