House Tour and Grounds Tickets are available for purchase every day at the Monticello Ticket Office, which is located in the main visitor parking area. These tickets are sold to “walk up” visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. When you make a same-day purchase, you will be given a timed ticket for the next available house tour (conducted at 10-minute intervals throughout each day) or, if you prefer, a later-starting tour. Generally, as long as you arrive at Monticello before the gates are closed (5 p.m. March-October; 4:30 p.m. November-February), you are assured of a house tour.
