Guidelines
for Signature Tours
Please arrive by 6:15 p.m. so the tour can start promptly at 6:30.
Please remember that because Signature Tours include the third floor of Monticello, they are not handicapped-accessible and are not recommended for children under 6 or individuals who may have difficultly climbing flights of stairs.
Also, for safety reasons, women should not wear high heels.
Please come prepared for inclement weather. While most of the tour is indoors, there is an outdoor component and there are no rain dates for the Signature Tours.
Reservations and tickets are valid only on the date specified. There will be no refunds unless the tour is canceled by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation.
Parking Directions (for Signature Tours only)
After crossing the bridge, going through the white fence gate and entering the grounds of Monticello, bear left and drive past the electronic gate (on your left). Drive up the hill and take the first left, into the Stable Parking Lot. Please walk up the path next to the garden and take the stairs up to the Monticello Museum Shop. You will be directed to the house from there.
