A highlight of springtime at Monticello is the annual Spring Wildflower Walk through the historic grounds. For almost thirty years Peggy Cornett, Monticello’s Curator of Plants, has led visitors on a five-mile hike through the woodlands of Monticello to seek out early spring flowers such as bluebells and orchids, as well as other native plants. While we were unable to host in-person wildflower walks this year, we are thrilled to offer the opportunity for you to take the wildflower walk virtually from wherever you are! Join Peggy Cornett for this 35-minute virtual tour, where she will point out early spring botanical treasures on a serene walk through Monticello woodlands. After the virtual wildflower walk, join Ms. Cornett live for an in-person Q&A where she will take your questions about the wildflowers and gardens of Monticello. This event will take place via a private link on YouTube.
