The outdoor exhibition on Mulberry Row and its companion website are the products of decades of archaeological and historical research conducted by the Thomas Jefferson Foundation. A team of archaeologists, curators, educators, and historians is planning the interpretation and restoration of Mulberry Row, which will take place in phases over several years. The first phase—the outdoor exhibition—opened on February 17, 2012. Related future projects include the re-creation of at least several missing structures, the reinstatement of the kitchen road and kitchen path, and the restoration of two remaining original buildings, the stable and workmen’s house.
