A ridge in the hill country of southern Indiana is my home. Semi retired for a few years, I write a weekly column on gardening or the outdoor world for a couple of newspapers My parents were avid gardeners and I inherited their love of digging in the dirt. Unfortunately, I did not inherit my Mother's green thumb. Learning about the wonders of the natural world has been my passion since childhood. Sharing my observations is an opportunity to help others realize that all living things are connected and vital to our survival.
