I'm William S. Hildreth's only surviving child. I grew up as Monticello changed from a tourist attraction to a national shrine. What impressed me the most when I was a child was that Jefferson's tombstone cites him as the author of the Virginia statute of religious freedom. I met Mr. Kimble on many occasions and grew up down the street from Mr. Grigg and have many recollections I could share about them and the site.
