Married 55 years to same person. Two children. Six grandchildren. All four granddaughters-sisters-lived near Monticello for several years. Three have graduated from Universities in VA and the fourth will graduate this year from UVA. I lived in Alexandria, VA for a short time when I was employed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and worked at the Justice Department. I also, worked for the FBI at the Atlanta Field Office, where I met my husband of 55 years. After our children were in elementary school, I went to Middle Tennessee State University to get a degree in Home Economics which I completed in 1974. I took further training to be a Supervisor/Principal in an Accelerated Christian Education School, and held this job for one year, until I realized my family needed me more at home. Since 1976 I have been a full-time mother and wife, and have found that time to be the most rewarding--even after the empty nest syndrome. My husband is retired from the Arnold Engineering Development Center where he worked for 40 years. We have lived in the same house for 50 years at this same address. I love vegetable and flower gardening, sewing, quilting, and writing. I love Monticello for its beauty, design, flower gardens, vegetable gardens, and it's marvelous history. We have visited Monticello several times. I just can't get enough of it.
