A preliminary agenda for the meeting is available here (revised 5/27/15).
Due to the large number of WMS libraries on the East Coast, we are asking participating libraries to limit themselves to no more than three attendees per institution. Registration will be capped at 120 attendees. Since May 1, the three attendee per institution restriction has been lifted. Registration will close at 4 pm EDT on Friday, May 22.
Important Parking & Shuttle Information
Do note that there is no public transportation to Monticello, so participants are strongly encouraged to drive their own vehicle, carpool, or rent a car at the Charlottesville airport. For participants who do not drive or decide not to do so, the Hilton Garden Inn and the Hampton Inn & Suites both provide free shuttle service to and from the airport, Downtown Charlottesville, and the Monticello Visitor Center. Parking is free at the Monticello Visitor Center. We will also do our best to match participants who are willing to provide rides with those in need of them.
Private car access to the Robert H. Smith Center on Montalto is restricted. Participants will be required to park at the Monticello Visitor Center and ride the free shuttle up to Montalto.
After crossing over the stone bridge at the entrance to Monticello and arriving at the Rubenstein Visitor Center, watch out for signs on your right directing you to “Special Event Parking”. Follow the signs to parking on the lower level parking lots. Parking is free. You will be directed to board free shuttles that will take you to the Robert H. Smith Center.
In planning your travel arrangements on Monday, June 8, please allow sufficient time in your schedule and plan to be at the shuttle pickup point between 12:15 and 12:45 pm. Shuttles will run from the Visitor Center to Montalto from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm. In the afternoon, shuttles will run from Montalto back to the Visitor Center from 4:15 to 4:45 pm.
On Tuesday, June 9, shuttles will run in the morning from the Visitor Center to Montalto from 7:30 to 9:30 am. In the afternoon, shuttles will run from Montalto back to the Visitor Center from 2:30 to 4:30 pm.
