Pseudonyms

A short article on whether Thomas Jefferson ever used a pseudonym in any of his writings.

A view of Jefferson's Cabinet office focusing on his writing arrangement of revolving desk with Polygraph, chair with candlesticks, bench, and revolving stand.

As far as we know, Thomas Jefferson never wrote under a pseudonym. He did sometimes submit material to newspaper editors, requesting that he not be identified. His letters would then be printed with the phrase "from a correspondent in Virginia" or similar wording.
