The Declaration of Independence was first printed 250 years ago. Celebrate this historic anniversary at Monticello with a hands-on letterpress printing experience. Presented by Arion Press and Monticello, with support from Josef Beery, this interactive activity invites visitors to print their own Declaration broadside using a working printing press. Join us at the Mountaintop Activity Center on select summer dates and experience the same printing process that helped spread the ideas of the Declaration across the world.
