Join us for the 40th anniversary of our beloved Monticello wreath-making class where you will create a festive wreath to adorn your door throughout the holiday season!

About the Event

Ring in the holidays with family and friends at a festive Monticello wreath-making class. Create a beautiful wreath at our time-treasured Charlottesville tradition – now in its 40th year. Led by our expert team of floral designers, gardeners, and plant experts, participants will design and bring home a beautiful door decoration to last through the season.

2026 Schedule

  • Saturday, Nov. 28 — 10am–12:30pm and 2pm–4:30pm
  • Sunday, Nov. 29 — 2pm–4:30pm
  • Monday, Nov. 30 — 4pm–6:30pm
  • Tuesday, December 1 – 4pm–6:30pm
  • Thursday, Dec. 3 — 4pm–6:30pm
  • Friday, Dec. 4 — 5pm–7:30pm
  • Saturday, Dec. 5 — 10am–12:30pm and 2pm–4:30pm
  • Sunday, Dec. 6 — 2pm–4:30pm

Your class experience includes: 

  • A guided class and all materials and equipment needed to make a beautiful, fresh holiday wreath
  • Natural greens, pods, ornamental grasses, cones, berries, and specialty materials harvested from the gardens at Monticello and throughout Virginia
  • Holiday bites and award-winning Monticello Jefferson Vineyards wines will be available for purchase

Please plan on bringing your own gardening gloves and pruning shears or sharp floral snips.

All guests must be 13 or older to attend. One wreath form allotted per ticketed guest. Each attendee must have a ticket. Workshops almost always sell out ahead of time; unregistered guests may be unable to register and attend a class day-of.

    Note: Your ticket includes one wreath per registered guest. Space is limited to registered participants only and wreaths cannot be shared during the class.
