Events this summer

A group toasts and clinks glasses of wine together at an outdoor table at Jefferson Vineyards. Sandwiches, salads, and other foods are on the table.
Almost 250 years ago, Thomas Jefferson and Philip Mazzei began growing grapes on our estate. Today, you can taste the wine from their original vines.

Visit during the summer harvest

Experience Monticello at its most abundant during the summer harvest, when the gardens overflow with heirloom vegetables, vibrant flowers, and the sights and scents of the season. It’s the perfect time to explore Jefferson’s experimental landscapes, learn about historic farming practices, and see what’s fresh from the garden on our Café menu.

Several plates of food are show photographed from above and looking straight down. There are two glasses of white wine on the table and the hand of someone putting a spoon in soup.
