Monticello was home to hundreds of people over the years and today welcomes thousands of visitors from around the world. This exhibit brings our interconnected stories together, showing how a diverse community both shaped and was shaped by the struggle to build a new nation.

Displayed throughout the timeline are:
- historical prints
- paintings, and photographs
- archaeological artifacts excavated from the plantation
- an architectural model of the main house before renovation and expansion.
