Instructions
Welcome to "Ask Thomas Jefferson." Mr. Jefferson will be pleased to respond to your mail if you follow a few simple guidelines:
- You must be a student in grades kindergarten through twelve to correspond with Mr. Jefferson.
- Please read through the letters that have already been posted so that you do not ask a previously-posed question.
- We encourage teachers to have students work together in groups of four or five and limit their questions to two or three per letter.
- Please sign your letter with first names only and let Mr. Jefferson know where you live (city and state, or country).
- Please allow time for Mr. Jefferson to respond to your mail. Remember, he is used to mail taking several weeks or months to reach its destination!
- Mr. Jefferson's scribes will post selected student letters.
Remember, before you write Mr. Jefferson, you need to read the sample letters posted on this web site.
