Aerial of Monticello's David M. Rubenstein Visitor Center, which feature several smaller buildings connected around a central courtyard.

Meet us at the visitor center for a curator-led tour of Monticello’s three new exhibits created to mark the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in 2026. Through storytelling, artifact displays, and an interactive discovery room for kids of all ages, these galleries offer fresh perspectives on Thomas Jefferson’s life, ideas, and legacy and invite you to explore rich histories connecting Monticello’s past to the broader American story.

Note: If you are touring the house after the gallery tour, please be sure to get to the bus boarding area outside the Galleries upper level and ride a shuttle to the mountaintop historic site.
