The Archaeology in Action program explains current archaeological excavations and how Monticello’s archaeologists excavate and do analysis. The talk will touch on research themes of the historic mountaintop landscape and historic dining and entertaining practices as reflected through artifacts. Guests will learn about recent finds and research and can ask our archaeologists questions.
Fun for all ages. The Archaeology in Action program will look at artifacts, and archaeology at Monticello broadly.
This 20-minute group tour includes a very short amount of walking over uneven terrain and therefore is not ADA compliant. The tour availability is dependent on weather conditions.
