Parking is free, and the visitor center has exhibits to check out before you head up the mountain. Be sure to see the large bronze model of the plantation, complete with miniature forests and fields, and the exhibits about Jefferson's agricultural operations.

Pick a TourWalk or ride the shuttle to the historic mountaintop and enjoy a tour of the rooms on the first floor of the house. Be sure to check out Jefferson's small greenhouse attached to his personal suite. If you're short on time, use a Grounds Ticket for access to all exterior areas and exhibits.
