Tour for Children and Their Families (mid-June mid-August)
These special guided tours of Thomas Jefferson’s house are designed for children ages 6 to 11. The 30-minute tours feature hands-on opportunities in every room and provide a glimpse of what life was like for the children who lived at Monticello in the late 1700s and early 1800s.
Your admission ticket also includes access to the grounds and two optional outdoor guided tours, of the Plantation Community and of the Gardens and Grounds, which are offered daily April-October.

Prices do not include service fee ($1.50 max per ticket) for ordering online. All visitors, regardless of age, must have a ticket to take this tour.
Tour Schedule
The Tour for Children and their Families are typically conducted at 10, 11, noon, 1, 2, and 3 daily from June 14-August 17. We ask that you plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.
