Admission for active-duty military personnel is free year-round for the Highlights Tour or Grounds Ticket.
Veterans
Receive a year-round discount of $32 for adult Highlights Tour tickets ($10 savings) and $16 for Grounds Tickets ($6 savings). Every Veteran's Day Weekend, veterans also receive complimentary admission for the Highlights Tour or Grounds Ticket.
How to Reserve Veteran or Active-Duty Military Tickets
Reserve Online (Recommended)
- Purchase tickets for ALL persons in your traveling party (including the active-duty service member or veteran) to ensure your reservation and so you are able to tour with your group.
- At the Monticello Ticket Office, please show your DOD-issued ID card and then receive a refund for the active-duty service member or veteran ticket.
- You must have the card used to purchase the original ticket(s) with you to receive your refund.
Get Tickets in Person
- Present your DOD-issued ID card at the Monticello Ticket Office when you arrive to receive your free or discounted admission.
- Tours are dependent on availability.
