All guests who are currently affiliated with the University of Virginia or Piedmont Community College as students (undergraduate or graduate) are eligible to reserve one free ticket for themselves.
Monticello extends this offer for the following tours: Highlights Tour and Gardens and Grounds Pass.
How to Get Your Tickets
Reserve Online and Pick-up In Person
- Reserve your ticket online for any General Admission tour, which includes the Highlights Tour or Gardens and Grounds Pass (as availability permits).
- To ensure your reservation and so you are able to tour with your group, please purchase tickets for ALL persons in your traveling party (including the student).
- When you arrive at the Monticello ticket office, present your current and valid student ID a minimum of 30 minutes prior to your reserved tour time.
- Receive your ticket(s) and enjoy your visit to Monticello.
Get Tickets in Person
- Come to the Monticello ticket office and request to see the next available ticket options.
- Present your valid student ID to receive your ticket and enjoy your visit to Monticello.
