Archaeology of the Monticello Plantation Landscape

Monticello archaeologists lead a walking tour of the plantation landscape and a discussion of how archaeological discoveries are revolutionizing our understanding of changes slave life ways and agricultural ecology during Jefferson’s lifetime. This is a three-mile walk in the woods, some of it over rough terrain: water bottles, sturdy shoes, and long trousers are highly recommended.
