Wine Festival at Monticello 2012
Thomas Jefferson wrote, in 1818, that “in nothing have the habits of the palate more decisive influence than in our relish of wines.” Come celebrate Jefferson’s passion for wine during the Wine Festival at Monticello!
Join us on Saturday, May 12 from 6pm - 9pm, for an unforgettable evening on the West Lawn of Monticello. Enjoy the splendor of spring while tasting Virginia’s best vintages at the only house in America designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Walk the restored vineyards and wine cellar, meet wine-maker Gabriele Rausse and experience the full splendor of spring. Tickets include tours of Jefferson's Monticello, live music on the West Lawn, and tastings of Virginia's most celebrated local vintages.
Discover the region’s finest wines and how they compare to the vintages that Jefferson enjoyed. Bring a blanket for picnic seating or reserve a premier table for your friends, family and colleagues.
