Monticello's Hours
Monticello is open every day of the year, including Sundays, except Christmas.
House and Grounds
March - October: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
November - February:
9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Entry is permitted until the posted closing time. The grounds are closed approximately one hour later.
Monticello Visitor Center Exhibit and Museum Shop
The Monticello Visitors Center is located 1 mile from Monticello on Route 20 near Interstate 64. The exhibit and film are free.
March - October: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
November - February: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Thomas Jefferson: The Pursuit of Liberty Film: Shows daily 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. year-round, and on the hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the summer; all viewings
are subject to change. Free.
Hands-on Learning Hours in 2007: Every day (Sun-Sat) 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., June 19 - Sept. 3. Free.
