Presidents' Pass
The Presidents' Pass is a discount combination ticket to Monticello, Ash Lawn-Highland, and Michie Tavern's Tavern Museum.
At Monticello, the Presidents' Pass entitles you to a House Tour and Grounds Ticket. The guided House Tour covers the rooms on Monticello’s first floor and lasts about 30 minutes. (Because of fire codes and insurance restrictions, the upper floors are not a part of this tour.) The Pass also includes access to the grounds on the day of your House Tour and two optional outdoor guided tours, of the Plantation Community and of the Gardens and Grounds, which are offered daily April-October.

Children ages 6-11: $17.50
The Presidents' Pass offers no savings for children under 6.
To order online, please go to our online ticketing service and choose the House Tour option. You can select the Presidents' Pass as you make your reservation for your House Tour. If you do purchase your Presidents’ Pass online through Monticello, you must come here first to pick up your Pass. You may then proceed with your visit to Monticello, or visit Michie Tavern or Ash Lawn-Highland, if you have sufficient time before your House Tour.
House Tour Schedule
Tours of the House are scheduled to begin every five minutes throughout each day and last about 30 minutes. For specific tour times, visit our online ticketing site.
Making reservations
You may purchase the Presidents’ Pass on the day of your visit at several Charlottesville locations. However, we strongly recommend that all visitors purchase tickets to Monticello in advance. You may reserve a time to see the House when you purchase your Presidents' Pass from Monticello online. Advance tickets may be purchased online up to two hours prior to the tour time. We ask that you plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled tour time.
