Live House Virtual Tour

On this tour, a Monticello guide will lead you in real-time through the first floor of Thomas Jefferson’s mountaintop home. You will get to view the house and collections and discuss important issues such as Thomas Jefferson’s role as a nation builder and Monticello as a plantation powered by the labor of enslaved African Americans.
Live Slavery at Monticello Virtual Tour

Join a Monticello guide for a tour of the Monticello quarters, and along Mulberry Row, the industrial hub of the Monticello plantation. Guides will share stories and answer questions about the enslaved African Americans who lived and labored on this plantation, confront Jefferson’s conflicting ideas on freedom and race, and discuss legacies of American slavery.
