Celebrate Virginia Wine Month and enjoy sweeping views of Charlottesville and the Blue Ridge mountains during a special evening at Montalto overlooking Monticello. Toast Thomas Jefferson’s vision of viticulture in the Commonwealth during this multi-course dinner which supports Monticello and the thirty wineries that make up the Monticello Wine Trail. Enjoy fare from six local guest chefs cooking at individual food stations. Their dishes will be paired with tastings of five complementing wines. Guests will have the rare opportunity to meet and mingle with notable local chefs: Morgan Hurt and Gabe Garcia of Kitchen, Christian Kelly of Maya, Harrison Keevil of Brookville, Aaron Cross of Keswick Hall, Curtis Shaver of Hamilton’s, and SweetHaus Bakery. The winemakers will mingle throughout the evening, happy to discuss their craft. Live music will be provided by the Downbeat Project. The event will take place from 5-9 pm on Saturday, October 5th. Tours of the grounds and gardens of historic Monticello will be available all day, so make sure to arrive early to enjoy the Monticello mountaintop. Tickets are $125 each, and $25 (tax deductible) of each ticket supports the Thomas Jefferson Foundation at Monticello. This event is produced by Hill and Holler in cooperation with Monticello.
