Deep snow, dangerously icy conditions, fallen tree branches, impassable roads, power loss… winter can make life difficult. Now put all those factors onto a mountaintop, spread out over many acres and miles of hiking trails, add historic structures, and don’t forget the safety of staff, guests, and volunteers.

In this live Q&A Monticello Director of Security Patrick Estes; Director of Facilities Roger Rothwell, and Manager and Curator of Historic Gardens Jason Young discuss how various departments at Monticello join forces to both prepare for, and deal with the aftermath of winter weather.
