Professional educators are invited to join Monticello Archaeologists for a one-day workshop on  July 15th or July 16th from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM. In the morning, participants will excavate at archaeological site, an early-19th-century quarter for enslaved field laborers. The afternoon includes artifact processing in the archaeology lab, discussions of archaeological analysis, and classroom applications of archaeological methods and data. Participants will receive a certificate of completion, a resource packet, a light breakfast, and one-day access to the Grounds. Space is limited to 12 participants per day, so reserve your spot now!

This program is designed for professional educators ages 18 and older. For questions, email archaeology@monticello.org.
