These guided outdoor walking tours focus on the experiences of the enslaved people who lived and labored on the Monticello plantation. Included in the price of admission.
Reservations for this tour are not required. Check signs onsite or ask a Monticello staff member for a daily schedule.
Tours begin on Mulberry Row near the Hemmings Cabin (view a map of Monticello for visitors).
Note: We are currently hard at work to make Monticello’s historic mountaintop more accessible for all visitors. As a result, Mulberry Row is temporarily only accessible via stairs. We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage guests to learn more about slavery at Monticello by exploring the South Wing exhibits, and using the Bloomberg Connects digital experience.
