Session 1: June 19-23, 2023

Session 2: June 26-30, 2023

Activities include archaeology, exploring the gardens, creating crafts, playing games, and a special tour of the Monticello mansion.  Surrounded by the spectacular setting of Monticello, campers explore Thomas Jefferson’s ideas and the daily life of the people, both free and enslaved, who lived on this working plantation.

We provide a snack daily. If your child has food allergies, we encourage you to send a comparable snack if needed.

Enrollment is limited to 16 participants per session.

Monticello Summer Adventures are led by friendly and professional Monticello guides, with assistance from youth volunteers. With two adult instructors, children receive plenty of personal attention.

In response to COVID-19, we have implemented enhanced health and safety measures, and we require that all visitors and employees follow posted instructions while on Monticello’s property. Monticello does not currently require face coverings. We are constantly reevaluating our COVID policies as conditions change. We may update our policies closer to the start of camp, including the possibility of requiring masks. We will communicate any updates to registered campers via email.

Sessions fill quickly, so we recommend registering as early as possible.
