Livestream - Storytelling with Dylan Pritchett
Storytelling has played a key role in preserving African American history and culture for centuries. Here at Monticello, oral histories passed down through generations of descendants of the enslaved community have indelibly shaped our scholarship and interpretation. Join us on Tuesday, June 8, at 1:00 p.m. ET for a livestream with renowned storyteller Dylan Pritchett. Mr. Pritchett, past president of the National Association of Black Storytellers, will discuss the power of folktales in preserving Black culture and identity, and even share stories and songs with the audience.
