    Join us for this year's Festival of the Book hybrid book talk: American Inheritance: Liberty and Slavery in the Birth of a Nation, 1765 - 1795. Pulitzer Prize winning author Ed Larson will grapple with questions about liberty and slavery over the course of the the first thirty years of America's history.

  • From Slavery to Freedom Tour

    9:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

    This 2.5 hour, guided, small-group, interactive tour explores Monticello through the perspectives of enslaved people who labored on the plantation. Similar tour previously titled the "Hemings Family Tour."
